A man was knocked down and killed as he sat on the side of the road in Roaring Creek on Sunday night.
69 year old Daniel Puerto was run over by a minivan.
Police gave us more information:

"What the investigators have so far gathered is that sometime after 10:25 p.m., the driver of the minivan was traveling in that vicinity when the minivan collided with Puerto, who is alleged to have been sitting down on the highway at that time."
"The minivan has since been impounded for processing and a notice of intended prosecution has been served on the driver of that vehicle, namely Michael McFadzean."
"As it relates to the driver, there was no indication at that time to suggest that he was inebriated. In relation to the victim the post mortem examination will determine whether, at the time of the incident, he was under the influence of alcohol or other drugs."
