And in another case of a grown man accused of sexually assaulting a child, 50 year old Carlos Balon was today arraigned on a charge of sexual assault after he reportedly touched a 14 year old girl inappropriately. The minor reported to police that on Sunday, she was working at a store on Freedom Street when Balon, whom she knows, touched her on her thigh and leg. She immediately told the storeowner, who called her mother. Her mother then took her to the police station to make the report.
In court today, Balon appeared unrepresented and pleaded not guilty. He was offered bail of $4,000 dollars, which he met this afternoon.
