While visiting the scene this morning we met attorney Arthur Saldivar who was also probing the area in hopes to find some answers on the murder of his friend Mark Gabourel. Saldivar shared with us what he believed was the escape route for the assailants.

Arthur Saldivar, Attorney at Law
"Mark Gabourel to me was a life long friend and he was one of those persons in the community that always lent a helping hand especially to those less fortunate. He grew up in a life of privilege his father had a business and despite that he was very humble and later in life he became a delivery truck driver but we are seeing that they are obviously being targeted, persons in that particular line of work at one point we would have expected these things to happen around the Christmas season it's was like that is the normal time for these trucks to have been hijacked but it never resulted in, it was rare that it resulted in death and now it seems that death is the norm."
Arthur Saldivar, Attorney at Law
"We are on the street where I understand the assailant made his escape, Garbutt Creek street and a number of other persons on this street have surveillance cameras so we are hoping that those who would have captured the movement of the motorcycle with the persons who are on it would surrender that footage to the police and also make it available to the public so the public can be apart of this investigation and assist the police in firing who actually did this. The understanding I am getting is that the attack started from Alwins which is all the way down by where the Atlantic bank used to be it is about 1/4 mile from where he was actually shot so there is a big gap between there and coming down this way so there is an opportunity I believe for this to be solved."
Jo- So he wasn't parked there at Sunny store conducting business?
Arthur Saldivar, Attorney at Law
"No he was shot and by virtue of being shot he then you know collided into a cement structure there and came to a stop."
