There are concerns tonight for the whereabouts of a Canadian man named Alfred Pleil who has been living in the Cattle Landing/Punta Gorda area for two months.
Well in today's press briefing ACP Hilberto Romero said that his car was found abandoned in Punta Gorda:
ACP Hilberto Romero, HNCIB
"We are following up on a missing person report of Alfred Pleil, a Canadian national. We received information about a week ago that he had not gone to eat where he usually dines. He has not been since in Punta Gorda. We are making checks, doing searches, but so far he has not been found."
Reporter
"Okay, so reports indicate that he was found in a shallow grave?"

ACP Hilberto Romero, HNCIB
"That is incorrect. He has not been found at this time. The only thing we found is his car in Punta Gorda."
Reporter
"Is there anything you can share in relation to him and the life that he led?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, HNCIB
"Well, he used to hang out with some friends in Punta Gorda. Those persons have been interviewed, but we have no leads as to whereabouts at this time."
The chairman of Cattle Landing says that the villagers were in the process of planning a search team and flyer distribution when the unconfirmed news reached villagers.
