23 year old Peter Lara was charged for the shooting murder of Mark Waight in January of 2025, but tonight Lara is a free man after the crown counsel from the DPP's office entered a "nolle pros" against him. No reason was given by the DPP's office for the discontinuation of the matter. Lara spent the last year and 4 weeks on remand at the Belize central prison.
