Teacher Convicted of Raping Student Gets Stiff Prison Term

A Toledo District teacher convicted of raping a 13-year-old student has been sentenced to a stiff prison term.

Santiago Tush was found guilty of two counts of rape of a child after the court accepted the testimony of the complainant, who said the incidents occurred inside a teacher's bathroom at her school in May 2024.

Tush, a teacher from Aguacate village has been sentenced with the first count of 15 years and 6 months and the second count of 16 years and 6 months.
