We asked the Defense Minister whether it is possible that the US could use the lethal force inside Belize to go after cartel operatives.

"We have not thrashed out exactly how that will be formalized. There is a lot of discussions that need to take place, you know? So whatever scores we have in our society I don't think we are at the level where we may need some lethal force against these criminal networkers. I don't think we are at that level and I hope we don't reach that level any at all."
