Yesterday evening we reported on a fatal road traffic accident in Ladyville. Turns out the victim was only 15 years old.

Today we went to the village to find out more about the victim, 15 year old Alex Griffith who was knocked down while heading home. Jaleeza Roberts looked deeper and filed this report:

This is where 15 year old Alex Griffith was run over by a R.Tillett bus. The 2nd former was northbound when police say he fell in the bus' path

ACP Hilberto Romero, HNCIB

"Information is that this person was riding a bicycle when he lost control, he fell on the street and he was ran over by a Tillett Bus being driven by Jonathan Eck. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation is being carried out into this fatal accident."

But his friend, Sincere, says that Alex Griffith was an experienced and careful rider.

Sincere Rocke, Friend

"I doubt that happen because as long as I know Alex he is a very careful rider and I know for a fact he knows how to take care of himself, so I think that how the bus probably hit him and the same time he fell and that's when the back wheel of the bus mashed down his head, I doubt that Alex slipped off of that because Alex rides on harder streets than the street that's in the front."

Alex had recently taken a break from school and while police have impounded the bus, police are still unsure if charges will be levied upon the driver:

Jules Vasquez "Will the driver be charged since he literally fell in the path of the bus?"

ACP Hilberto Romero, HNCIB
"Thorough investigation will be conducted, the file will be sent to the DPP, then we will await the directives. A full investigation will be carried out."

But whatever the investigation finds - it's no consolation for his friends:

Sincere Rocke, Friend
"What I will miss about him is any certain thing, he always was there to give me advice and tell me things and give me his point of view of how things are happening and then I just will miss his company and miss how every single time we would talk he would always make us laugh and no matter how bad our day would go he always found a way to put a smile on our face."

Jaleeza Roberts, 7 News.

No one has been charged as yet.
