

On Monday, Hector Mejia, a San Jose Succotz resident was reported missing. Well today he turned up dead in the Mopan river.
As Jaleeza Roberts reports, he was more than a village resident, he was also a creative. Here's more:
This is the part of the Mopan River where the body of 35 Year old Hector Mejia was recovered this morning.
Police are currently calling it a death investigation - and his body was not seen with any injuries.
Mejia was known by his artist name "Namule", and has been described as "Full of Life".
He was initially reported missing on Monday by his brother in law - and was last seen on Saturday.
Today, his was found by the Chairman of San Jose Succotz while he was doing a taxi run:

"So I was coming from Benque Viejo on my taxi along with a passenger when I observed a body floating and I realized that his head was above the water so I noticed that someone was inside the river but not alive so that's when I decided to make a full stop and come to observe and do a check. That's when I realize that it was the body of our beloved friend Hector Mejia so then we proceed to take him out with the passenger, Mr.Amilcar Cocom who was very courageous and has strength because it's nothing easy to find a body like that and worse of our beloved villager."
Mejia's body awaits a post-mortem examination, which will determine the official cause of death. Until the answers come out, Mejia leaves his friends and families with many questions but his love for music endures:
