A woman claims she is being "chanced" by the justice system after being dragged to court yesterday despite the charges against her being struck out at a previous hearing.
38-year-old Nichole McDonald was charged with cyberbullying for comments she made against former ComPol Chester Williams back in June 2025. But then in November 2025, the matter was dismissed after Williams did not show up in court. He said he never got a summons.
However, six months later, the charge has been reinstated against McDonald. She appeared unrepresented in court yesterday where she was again read a single charge: using a computer to disseminate false statements. She pleaded not guilty and was released on bail of $4,000.
