Tonight, one man is dead following a shooting in the Old Well Road area of Lord's Bank Village.

It happened last night around 9:00 when 48-year-old George Anglin was in his house with his wife when a cycle arrived. The driver called him by his nickname, "Tal Buay".

When Anglin walked out of his house to see who it was, the gunman shot him and drove off into the night. ASP Stacy Smith told us what police know so far:

ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"Police in Ladyville are investigating the murder of George Anglin, 48 years of age, which occurred shortly after 9:00 pm on May 12th at Old Well Road in Ladyville Village. What we have gathered so far in the course of this ongoing investigation is that Anglin was at home when someone called out for him, and it was when he went outside that he was met with gunfire which resulted in his demise. No motive has been established in this incident as police investigation continues."

Reporter
"There is a belief, because from what we've understood he has a brother that was recently killed, is there any belief that these incidents may have been related?"

ASP Stacy Smith
"There is no information so far suggesting a nexus between the two; however, as I stated, the investigation is ongoing."

Reporter
"Were you all aware if he had been receiving any threats?"

ASP Stacy Smith
"I spoke with the investigator and he indicated yes, and those are being followed."

Reporter
"Do they have any idea what may have been the nature of the beef or misunderstanding that he had with others?"

ASP Stacy Smith
"Yes, the investigator would have received that information and it is being followed. As I stated, it's an ongoing investigation; as more information is learned and as it becomes necessary to be shared, that will be done."
