This past Saturday, the Special Envoy for the development of Families and Children called for a publicly accessible national database for sex offenders. Such a registry currently exists on the Belize Crime Observatory's website, but a member of the public needs permission from the Home Affairs CEO to access it.

Today we asked the former Minister if he would support the call for a publicly accessible registry:

Reporter:
"Do you support the call for a national sex offenders register?"

Kareem Musa, Area Rep., Caribbean Shores
"Yes, I do."

Courtney Menzies:
"A public one?"

Kareem Musa, Area Rep., Caribbean Shores
"Yes I do."
