"From Corozal to Toledo": it's an immortal line and the man who made it famously catchy is Supa-G.

Now political energy has subsided and you can't see one of Punta's greatest showmen at a Love fest near you every week - but Supa is still singing. Now "Supa" is releasing his third solo album called "Unlock".

He is not the king but few could argue "Supa G" doesn't deserve the crown as prince of punta rock. And with good reason - since his break from the Punta Rebels - he has kept fans on their feet. The young punta rocker has stayed relevant colluding energy, culture, and yes he has even sexed it up a bit, which for him has been a formula for success.

But Supa G has been quiet for the past year - he has been quietly working on his third studio album - simply titled "Unlock."

Supa G, Punta Rocker
"Supa G is about Belizean music so I am trying to display different styles of Belizean music mixed with different types from outside so that is how I came up with the name unlock meaning that it is open for everybody. If you love music then you should love this CD."

And there are thirteen songs to love on "Unlock" including the titled track. Ranging from the sure hit "take it off" to the attentive "man layad."

Supa G,
"'Take It Off' is a about a club when everything is too hot, too much people in the place and you don't have AC so basically you take your shirt. You know?"

"'Man Layad' in this track I am actually defending all men. I did the track with a girl Carolina from Cayo. She is saying that all men are liars and I am there defending myself and John Jay who is featured in the track. So I know most guys when they see the name of the track will say Supa G is talking bad about men but no, I am just defending men and she is you know saying the negative things about men."

"'Da No Yo Business' is actually a true story about how nosey people like talking negative stuff about."

Steering away from controversy there is also collaboration with his former punta rebels band mate "reckless" on the lead track.

You can pick up your copy of "Unlock" at record stores in the city as of tomorrow for $25. He plans to go on a tour to promote the release but those plans are pending.
