Tomorrow afternoon Christmas will come early for one thousand children in the city. It's an annual tradition by the Salvation Army which hosts the needy children at lunch and send each of them home with a toy. But that almost didn't happen this year due to a sluggish response to their toy drive but thanks to a last minute donation from Courts, it will. This afternoon Courts dropped off $500 worth of toys from the company and another 60 pieces of toys from staff to the Salvation Army's Major Errol Robateau. Courts' Marketing Coordinator Arifah Lightburn said it was the least Courts could have done. Those toys will be given out tomorrow at the parish hall and the Salvation Army School. Later this month, the other 15 hundred toys they hope to collect will be given out in the districts.

"Salvation Army does a lot for the community and we know Christmas is about kids and there are some kids who defiantly feel left out, their parents might not be able to afford toys for them so we want to be able to help make Christmas for the kids."
Keith Swift,
How far will this donation go towards completing your goal?
Major Errol Robateau, Salvation Army
"It will go a long way because we are also working with Bravo Motors, well Bravo Motors is working with the Rotary Club, and they assured me that they should be doing 700 to 750 toys and with this, and what we have we should be making over 1,000 toys but we need 2,500 plus so we are still counting but this will help us a long way."
