Last night we showed you the story of Catherine Blease, the 27-year-old woman who lost her home and every possession she had to a fire. The young woman had appealed to anyone who could help her to please do so and while it seems hard times is making everyone penny-pinch, there is one faithful 7NEWS viewer who is trying to assist in a small way, but it is a mighty kind gesture. We found out more at Olive's Kitchen.
Olive Leslie,
"The young lady got burnt out and at a time like this she really needs help and I am appealing to everybody if they could drop even their change in here or whatever they have to give, whether it is clothing or pots and pans whatever. They could drop it off here because she works right next door. This could happen to anybody, rich and poor, and she really needs help so I am appealing to you to please help her.
We have to help each other and truthfully Belize people are willing to give, you just have to ask. I find that people are willing to give but they won't just come and say, 'hey.' If somebody appeals to them, we are very kind people and we would be willing to help each other."
Again anyone who can help Blease can get in touch with her friends at telephone numbers 620-0698 or 207-3971.
