Dr. Miguel Rosado remains at Universal Health Services tonight in serious but stable condition. Family members tell us that after being taken to the hospital yesterday evening he went into surgery and was not out of it until around 10 this morning. Rosado was traveling toward Belize City on the Western Highway yesterday afternoon at 2:40 when he lost control of his red Toyota Four Runner.
The vehicle flipped numerous times and 31-
year-old mother of four Michelle Lee Leslie was flung out of the back seat to her death. Her husband 24 year old Leon Leslie was beside her, but he had on his seatbelt. He had body bruises and has been treated and released. Same for Marlon Kuylen who was in the front seat, and also wore a seatbelt.
Rosado was wearing his seat belt as well, but received a head injury from the top of the vehicle when it was crushed in by the pavement. He is stable but still in critical condition and his family intends to fly him out to New Orleans for further treatment depending on whether his condition improves.
Rosado, Kuylen, and the Leslies were returning from Belmopan on FFB business. Rosado and Kuylen were the newly elected first and second Vice-Presidents of the board while Michelle Leslie was a former FFB employee who had been fired by Chimilio.
