On Sunday night Belize will embrace a new year 2007. And with each New Year comes resolutions. We've all made them - whether it is to lose weight, save more, buy a car, or start a family. And it's that promise of starting fresh, having a second chance, just plain human hope that keeps us making resolutions, even if we failed at last year's one. This evening we hit downtown Belize City for a sample of what Belizeans will be doing differently in 2007.
Man #1: Well to live a good life, basically, and to continue to take care of my family. That is basically it. I will work harder.
Man #2: My New Year's resolution is always to continue to do well, to work hard, and to try to make a difference.
Woman #1: I don't plan my New Year. What happens happens. I will just look out for he best.
Woman #2: To live happy with my family. Next year, I hope to be more successful in whatever I do.
Woman #3: Hmm, I am not sure. I guess probably to lose more weight.
Woman #4: My New Year's resolution is more prayers and more prayers and more prayers for the country.
