The Carnival King and Queen Competition will be held tomorrow night at the Marion Jones Stadium. An impressive 33 kings and queens have signed up and so to get you into that carnival mood, the Carnival Association held its annual motorcade this evening. We spoke to Association Chairman Patrick Thompson.
Patrick Thompson, Association Chairman
"This is where we jump start the carnival. This is where the different groups bring out their revelers in trucks with music, we parade through the streets, letting the people know carnival is here. This year we have twelve bands in all. We have seven senior groups and five junior groups so this year's carnival will be bigger than last year."
The event takes place tomorrow night at the Marion Jones Stadium at 6:00 pm.
