Today Belize Telemedia unveiled its 2009 telephone directory. This year’s edition highlights the country’s cultures with emphasis on cultural foods. BTL’s Manager of Directory Services Suzette Tillett spoke about the new features added in the 2009 telephone directory.

“It is a painting which features a woman in her typical 1970s Belizean kitchen taking care of her children and she is cooking cow foot soup and it also ties in line with the theme we have with other cultures where we feature the Creoles, the Mestizos, the East Indians, and all the foods that these cultures have to offer. I have some recipes from these different cultures. That is a part of the new feature.
Also this year we have added a couple more pages in the information section which includes a kid’s page with puzzles and games for kids. We have a hurricane page which has a hurricane map, we can follow the hurricane, we also have in the section with the different international codes, we’ve added a map where you can basically follow the map and tell the different time zone of whatever country in the world.”
Along with the full size telephone directory, a mini – directory has also been printed for post paid cellular customers. Both directories are available now at all Telemedia customer service centres.
