Their new album is named Mission in Progress, but the Morgan Heritage band’s mission to Belize was cut short in May when the H1N1 Scare forced the indefi3enite postponement of their much anticipated show. But like their song says, “Reggae brings back love” – and they say it’s their love for Belize that brought them back to perform. The show is tomorrow, but their run across the Belize border was slightly slowed down when three of the Morgan Family were unable to make the flight to Belize. Their siblings “Lukes” and Una told us they’ll be here.

Jules Vasquez,
“People will say, we have a cynical public, they will what only Lukes and Una come, where is Peter, Mojo, Gramps?”

Lukes, Morgan Heritage
“Yes everybody is coming. How the flight scheduling was and stuff, everybody couldn’t fit on the flight today so some people have to come on the flight tomorrow but everyone is going to be here, the band and crew. Me and Una are here, it is just Gramps and Mojo. Because of space availability on the flight, they will be here tomorrow morning.”

Jules Vasquez,
“No Una I know it was not mission in progress it was mission interrupted last time when you all were here. Are you all looking forward to making it up to the Belizean audience?”

Una, Morgan Heritage
“Absolutely you know the swine flu that came, that took off the world had its stint here in Belize so we are happy to be back to be able to give the Belizean people what they didn’t see the last time and what they deserved to see this time.”

Lukes,
“At the end of the day we came here on a mission, our fans were disappointed because of acts of God so at the end of the day, our fans come first and we are duly appointed to take care of this before it goes down too long and people get weary and blah blah blah. The quicker we come and do it will be the better.”

Jules Vasquez,
“And what should the fans expect tomorrow? I know those guys will be coming in a few hours before the show but they will be in game shape.”

Lukes,
“Guaranteed by the grace of God the show will be rocking tomorrow night. Morgan Heritage will be rocking on stage, another rocker moment for the Belizean people.”

Una,
“We had to come back to Belize to do it for the Belizean people and it is a good time in our lives so we thank God for the time that it is and we thank Belize for accepting us back.”

The show is tomorrow night at the City Center.
