The fatal accident has left many stunned. Williams - a Belmopan resident - was a well-known, well-liked individual who had worked at NEMO for years.
Recently he took up the post as the Director of the Central Building Authority.
But last night, heading home to Belmopan - all that was lost in a flash - as evening fell and he ran into an accident waiting to happen.
Today his sister Sharon Baird told us that they are deeply grieved:

"Well, the news of my brother's death last night has devastated my family. My brother was a very loving person. He was a role model for our family, and he was a brother who looked after his siblings. He will be greatly missed. He left behind a 10 months-old baby, very young child, and his wife."
No funeral plans have been finalized for Wayne Williams because he has many relatives who live in the USA - including his mother.
