Last month, we showed you the Zoo's newest addition, a baby Tamandua anteater.

At the time, he was nameless, and the "Zoo Crew" took the social media to have the public choose out of a list of names.

Well, the people have spoken, and "Archie the Anteater" is the new anteater ambassador.

According to a release, Archie is short for Archibald, which means truly brave or bold. It fits little Archie well, as he was orphaned shortly after birth and managed to survive a rocky start to life.

The Zoo is currently working on a habitat for Archie so that the public can meet him. They are asking for donations in the form of financial, food, or materials to help build his enclosure. He's the only anteater on display at the zoo.
