March is Women's Month and it started out with a strong string of statements from the Special Envoy, the head of the National Women's Commission and the Minister of Human Development and Families.

In her statement, Dolores Balderamos Garcia discusses the theme "Break the Bias" - acknowledging that women are often not treated equitably:

Balderamos Garcia also discussed the resolution passed dint he National Assembly for Zero Tolerance to Domestic Violence - and the posthumous pardon for Nora Parham - a victim of domestic abuse - and the only woman hanged to death for allegedly setting her husband on fire. That happened in 1963 - and now she's getting a pardon:
