"Belize has never really put together a right package to represent Belize in all it's cultures because we are not one culture we are many culture's right so that is something that we look into as the IFD being a ember of the IFD, that's the interim festival directors right all these stats they have in writing and we don't top any chart in anything. All these other Caribbean countries they top with flying colours in various categories."
"Just to put this out there my position has never been recognised from 2019 until now. So the previous government has never recognised the position that is the United Democratic Party because they were in at that time and the people's united party have never recognised the position as well since they have been in from 2020 till now, so even if I go about lobbying and doing my portion as an artist ambassador for Belize for Carifesta there is not much I can do because they have never recognised the position they have never given a copper. I emailed them before I was to come here asking for support in the form of Per diems or something my email wasn't even answered and probably wasn't even opened."
"So I have to spend a lot of my own money while representing Belize and no one from the ministry of culture reached out to me and ask how they can assist. And some of them do know of the position and what I am here for because no other Belizean is here with me at this time."

"When I am already not supported by Belize in no form, like I said they have never recognised my position that I have never been given a dollar you know I have never been supported, the last Carifesta Belize didn't give me any per diems they didn't ask me anything just like what is happening this year again you know."
