With over 4 million subscribers on YouTube, Max Klymenko quickly gained popularity for conducting a social experiment in public spaces across dozens of countries.
Here's how it works: he sets up a ladder in a public space, climbs to the top, and then asks a stranger to climb on the other side. Through a series of questions he tries to guess their career profession or what they do for a living.
We met with him this afternoon at Battlefield Park to find out why he decided to visit Belize.

"How did you come up with this?"

"So I had a channel for 9 years almost 10 and part of it was always about jobs because for me it was actually quite hard to get a job and to get on the career ladder for myself as a professional a young professional and then I started making videos about my job once I eventually go it, then about my business, careers about where you get paid for different things you can do, what kind of skills you need and then I saw 2 construction guys on the ladder and then I told them this could be a format where you talk about jobs standing on a ladder and then the name career ladder came and now here we are."

"So how come you are in Belize? What made you want to come to Belize?"

"Why you guys are so surprised? You have to back yourself, what do you mean? It's Belize, Belize City come on because it is a cool country."

"So how did you hear about Belize?"
Max Klymenko, Career Ladder
"How did I hear about Belize? at school. When I look at the map I see Belize but also when I look at central America we wanted to go to most countries where we have an audience, so Belize is English speaking and so this is why we have people here who watch the channel and also it is safe, father Henry recently told me there is no crimes happening here apparently I don't know if that is true or not if we will live to the end of this day to find out and yeah so why not."
