And finally tonight, Belize's most celebrated international musical ambassadors, the Garifuna Collective, have hit the road for a 14-day European mini-tour to mark their 20th anniversary.
The band departed yesterday for a series of performances across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
The milestone tour coincides with another historic achievement: the group has become the first Belizean band to grace the cover of a major international music publication, appearing on the July edition of Songlines Magazine. The issue features an exclusive interview along with a newly released single included with the magazine.
Representing Belize on this European leg are musicians Desiree Diego, Kenrick Lewis, Mohobub Flores, Al Ovando, Denmark Flores, Emilio Thomas, Sam Harris, and Austin Aranda.
The Garifuna Collective is scheduled to return home on August 4th, when they will hold a formal press conference to share updates from the road.
