With resources used for education never being enough to suffice all sectors of education, more and more institutions of learning have to turn to the private sector for support. Such is the case with Stella Maris. Even though the school has recently received a new building to aid in their work with disabled children, it simply is just not enough. Seeing the need, late last year a couple of local distributors of Kraft products undertook to hold a fund raising drive to assist Stella Maris School for the improvement of its facilities. The drive has come to an end and today a generous contribution was made to the institution. Santino Castillo of the San Cas group says that they are privileged to be a part of an effort that assists a needy institution especially one like Stella Maris.

This institution, the Saving Kids is an institution that may be overlooked from time to time. So the Santiago Castillo group along with Kraft came up with the idea of the Kraft cookbook. And, we put that cookbook out at different places, Save-U, Brodies etc. and all the proceeds from that are being donated today by the Kraft representatives who are here from the United States as well as the Santiago Castillo representatives, myself and the product line supervisor, Carlo Marin, and we'll be making this contribution to Stella Maris.

We are very happy to know that our customers and consumers have participated in this promotion very well, And for us, this has been very important because we are trying to help an institution that really needs it and we are hoping that other business houses will be able to take up this opportunity and, you know, continue the progression.

We just had a room for a kitchen and we had no utensils, so basically that is the major effort that this contribution is all about. It will be called the kraft kitchen and there will be other special equipment and supplies that we will be buying.

The total value of funds raised amounts to over 11 thousand dollars.
