UB Students Get Scholarship Awards

At this morning's orientation ceremony there was a scholarship award ceremony for new and returning UB students. The first round of awards came from ScotiaBank and the Protected Area Conservation Trust. And then the Ministry of Education announced the award of 50 scholarships and among them was Bartolo Torres from August Pine Ridge village who is the first recipient of the Trinidad Sanchez Memorial Scholarship. Trinidad Sanchez is the UB student murdered earlier this year. UB also offered a number of work scholarships for students and still there are payment plans available for having problems meeting tuition.
