"Achieve your goal tomorrow by reading today," that was the theme under which the National Library Service held its fourth annual book fair. The event featured reading games, library displays, library tours, and a book sale at the Leo Bradley Library. Librarian Lucy Castillo says they are trying to bring back the joy into reading.

"We are doing it to be able to promote reading. Our basic principle here is to promote reading so that children don't see it as an obligation, as part of a school routine to read, we want them to learn that reading enhances their vocabulary, makes them travel throughout the world without leaving Belize, it expands their imagination. Let it be just for adventure, for excitement, so that they can enjoy the pleasures of reading."
Don't judge the event by the lack of crowds, we only managed to make it there during the lunch hour but hundreds of school children streamed through the event all day.
