For the majority of public schools countrywide, school starts again on Monday and that's when, many fear, the ongoing uncertainties in the bus industry could come to a calamitous head as thousands of passengers have to get to school on time and intact. So what's going to happen? Well, according to the Ministry of Transport, which has been forced to take up the responsibility for managing national bus services, there will be capacity.

According to the Ministry, bus operators will be providing extra runs on the Western and Northern Highways on Monday. Additionally, the Ministry says buses will be on standby if more seats are needed. Right now, it's only a promise but an important one, as there is some apprehension among commuters. We'll be monitoring it on Monday to see how it goes.
