Their job is to enforce the law and tonight 13 police sergeants and 2 corporals know more about the letter of the law. The 15 officers participated in a two-week prosecutor's course. The course covered everything from how to write a report to the rules of evidence. Graduation day was today and Sergeant Llewelyn Usher who is attached to the Tourism Police Unit told us how it will help him do his job.

Sgt. Llewelyn Usher, TPU
"We learnt the judge's rules, identification parades, and evidence accepted in court among other topics. It will help me in investigations and presenting of evidence to the court. I learnt a lot in investigations and how must I go about getting evidence so the court can use that evidence."

The course was facilitated by magistrates and other members of the bar such as the Director of Public Prosecutions.
