Over the next few weeks 50 young persons from across the city will be participating in the Entra 21 Program. It's an initiative by the University of Belize and the International Youth Foundation where young persons have been identified to receive specific training in areas of information technology. Today was orientation day and Project Manager Pauline Wade explained what's the program's aim.

"Participants will receive a one month training in soft skills and then they get two months IS training and then they get a month internship training. Basically it caters to high school graduates. Basically, graduates who aren't planning to go on to complete their Associate's Degree, they are looking to enter the world of work and that is why the program is called Entra 21."
