So how exactly will this outbreak be contained so that it doesn't spread to other schools? Well the minister explained that the system in place isn't perfect but with an incident like this, they are able to re-establish the protocols. He added that parents and teachers need to also play their part to mitigate the spread.

Hon Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education

"Every time we have these experiences, we have to learn from them and we have to strengthen the existing protocol. You're right, we're dealing with a deadly disease, and we have to do everything necessary to ensure that these protocols are in place. So the point you make, that is an establish protocol in terms of our greenlighting, if a parent becomes sick, those students should not come to school, but then we have to depend on the parents, and the school delivers that message to the parents, we have to depend on the parents to be responsible as well, so it takes, and I'm not only talking about education, tackling this COVID 19 problem takes collective responsibility as you know very well. So all of us have to do our part, the ministry has done its part in terms of putting in place the structures, the protocols, the procedures, the regulations, along with the Ministry of Health and the schools have done their part in terms of getting ready so we need the students and teachers to do their part as well but we have to continue to aggressively monitor every step of the way, and this provides us with another example of why we need to strengthen those monitoring procedures."
