Yesterday, we told you that Stella Maris Primary School was planning an Inclusion Parade - a march through the streets of downtown Belize to raise awareness about the importance of inclusivity for special needs children.

The staff at the school know all too well that their students tend to be shunned in society - both as children, and when they are ready to enter the workforce. So for disability week, they planned various activities to sensitize abled bodied children to the requirements of special needs kids.

And it all culminated into today's parade. Courtney Menzies was there and has this story.

Some of the other organizations that were a part of the parade were the Department of Human Services, the Department of Youth Services, NARCIE, The Cancer Society,, The Diabetes Association, and more.
