Cherisse Di Star!

You may have been missing Cherisse Halsall on our newscast for the past 3 months. And that's because she's pursuing a masters in journalism at the University of Missouri in the US.

And she's already accumulating honors over there. Cherisse has been noted as one of 7 winners of a scholarship from the Association of Foreign Press Correspondents. The AFPC "provides annual scholarships to professional foreign journalists currently enrolled in any full-time master's level program of any U.S.-based academic institution." She is the only one from her University who received the scholarship this year.

She will travel to New York in December for the AFPC-USA Awards.
