The 13-year-old and 15-year-old minors picked up under the SOE are still at New Beginnings tonight. The Ministry of Human Development along with the police department have been trying to figure out what to do with the younger child - should he return home to his mother? Should he become a ward of the state? Or should he be allowed into the LIU program even though he's a minor?

Today Minister Dolores Balderamos Garcia said they will have to collaborate with the other entities to find the best solution.

"This is where we cooperate, New Beginnings cooperates with LIU, with Wagner's Youth Facility, and also with our community Rehabilitation department. Of course the New Beginnings comes under the Community Rehab Department and so I believe the mother of that 13 year old child has already come in contact with the Community Rehab Department and we, as I said, we will continue to monitor the situation very closely and I am hoping that we can get the 13 year old and 15 year old into positive activities."

According to the Commissioner, the 13 year old had been charged for threat of death and aggravated assault.
