BWSL Responds to Fountains of Sewerage

Yesterday residents of Curassow Street complained that over the past few months they've been suffering the stench and constant presence of sewer water on their street as a result of an overflowing sewer. Today Belize Water Services Limited responded to the complaints saying that the overflow was as a result of household debris in the sewer collector pipe. It asks the public to not throw debris into the sewer manholes as this creates blockages in the sewerage network. BWSL asks that any instance of overflows in the sewer lines be reported at their hotline number 0-800-297-5325.
