And while the country's power supply suffers _because water at Mollejon is to a trickle, in terms of water resources its tough all over according to the Meteorology Department. The Water Commission and the National Meteorological Service are advising residents to conserve water.
The organization says that rainfall during the months of January until mid-April of this year have been the lowest in historical records for most stations in the country. As a result all water sources including rivers, and ground water levels are at an all time low.
The condition is attributed to the weather phenomenon called El Nino and is expected to continue until May. Everyone is advised to conserve water in any way possible, an objective that, perversely, was met with the recently discontinued water services strike.
