There has been another diving mishap which has resulted in the death of a tourist, the third to die of drowning in Belize's waters since October. Yesterday morning, 68-year-old Janice Redman, a tourist from California was out diving with a tour company from Caye Caulker.

According to reports, she was in a group of 9 or 10 tourists accompanied by three guides from the Caye Caulker Belize Dive Services. They went to Hol Chan, when at a depth of 70 feet, she began experiencing respiratory problems. By the time, she surfaced she was in respiratory distress. She was rushed to San Pedro, but died before reaching the island. The doctor on shore pronounced her dead on arrival. Though she was a certified diver, she is believed to have had medical problems. She was on vacation with her daughter.
