Former Prime Minister Manuel Esquivel will be flown out tonight sometime between 10:30 and 11:00. He will travel to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and is expected to be accompanied by his wife Kathy.

We note that his injuries are more extensive than was previously indicated. While doctors have focused on what are considered the more serious injuries to the broken bones in his face and his broken shoulder, he also has fractures to his ribs and to his left foot. Doctors

report that while his face is swollen, there are no complications; his condition remains stable and he is conscious and alert. He received visits this morning from Prime Minister Dean Barrow and Deputy PM Gaspar Vega.

The two term Prime Minister, now Senior Financial Advisor with Ministerial Rank broke his jaw, the bones around his eye and his shoulder when the Nissan Pathfinder he was in tumbled off the highway near mile thirty one at 8:40 yesterday morning. His driver William Schnarr received a gash to his head and has been released from the KHMH.

As we noted last night, thirteen years and four days prior, on March 26, 1996, then Prime Minister Esquivel was in an eerily similar crash at mile thirty three – and that one also happened at twenty minutes to nine.
