While most of us think of Christmas at home spent with the company of family and friends; that’s not how it is for everyone, and many will have to spend Christmas in the hospital. And that’s why this evening the management of the KHMH made a special visit to the patients who will be spending the special holiday in the hospital. The patients each received a gift package to lighten the load of spending the holidays in the hospital.

“It is part of our Christmas package. We try to look after both our staff and our patients and the staff has already gotten their Christmas gift in the form of hams and turkeys and we couldn’t leave the patients out of it, especially the young kids especially who have a hard time at Christmas being in hospitals. But we decided to do an initiative with the private sector and we asked for donations or kind, whatever it is and we got together gift packages including cosmetics items, toiletry items, entertainment materials for the kids like colouring books and story books and crayons.”
