A short while ago on Ask The Experts, Dr. Marvin Manzanero discussed the current trend in infections; he said it dipped down, but has been trending back up over last week:

"I can tell you that we did have lower positivity rates based on samples taken in the second week of September. Not as high numbers as we have had in August, but the numbers are still in the first week of September significant. The 3rd week of September they kind of went back to where we were and the last week we had notice particularly for Corozal and Orange Walk that they still have increasing numbers. The `21st September was when we had the least amount of percentage-wise. We had 4% only of positive of samples that were processed, but we are going routinely now between 15-18% of the samples that are processed are turning out positive. The preliminary data for today would indicate that we have at least 37 new cases."
