Belmopan City councillor Candidate Ritchie Galvez Jr. has tested positive for COVID-19.
Galvez, who is also a mayoral hopeful, shared his covid status on his personal Facebook page saying quote:
"I tested positive for COVID-19 Been on quarantine for 12 days and counting! I've experienced nearly all the symptoms the most severe was the shortness of breath and difficulty breathing... was so severe I had to be attached to an oxygen tank. I wish this pain on no one, so I'm advising everyone to follow safety measures and take care of yourself! Please don't put work before health! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes." End Quote.
We contacted Galvez for an interview, but he told us that he is unable to give one as he's having problems speaking and even breathing.
