Belize Will Get 1k Vaccines From Barbados

A late evening press release from the government, says Belize will be receiving its first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine from the Government and people of Barbados.

This first shipment set to arrive at the Philip Goldson International Airport by cargo flight tomorrow, February 24, 2021.

As has been reported Barbados got a shipment of one hundred thousand doses of the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine from India two weeks ago.

And, now they are sending a thousand of those doses to Belize.

A release says negotiations with other countries to source and buy additional COVID-19 vaccines for the country continue and the Ministry anticipates the arrival of the COVAX vaccines at the end of March or the beginning of April.
