But what happens on the COVID front if lab technologists leave at 5:00 and don't work on weekends? That's what they threatened to do in a letter sent to the acting director of lab services, Dr. Gerhaldine Morazan last week, after they weren't happy with the way their overtime was being calculated. But today Chebat said the matter has been settled.

"I don't know if they are being taken advantage of, I know that there was a concern about the overtime and they were some competing interpretations of how the overtime was to be calculated between the FOs, AOs and the staff at treasury, that matter has been resolved and I can confirm to you that everybody is getting paid this week. I actually spoke to the FO at the ministry of health and wellness before I came here, and he was confirmed to that the overtime payment has gone out."
