And those burgeoning numbers are weighing heavy on the mind of the Ministry of Health in Belmopan.
If you follow social media commentary - you'll know that there's been an outcry to bring back the public health information show, "Ask the Experts." But, since the PUP was elected, that show - and its formula of open engagement with the public was put to the side - viewed as another element of what the incoming administration characterised as the UDP's failed approach to contain the coronavirus.
Well, since the November election about 350 people have died from COVID, and the numbers are worsening nightly - so, it seems, the Briceno Administration has to pull out all the stops to try and contain the pandemic.
So, they're going back to the Ask The Experts formula of open engagement, even if not using the name. Starting tomorrow, a new show named "Up to the Minute, COVID 19 Live Report". The show will provide the latest updates on testing, hospitalisations, deaths and vaccination reports and clarify doubts about COVID 19 and the vaccines.
We don't know who will host it yet - bit we know it surely won't be DHS Dr Marvin Manzanero who's been banished to a backroom at the Ministry of Health. We'll know who'll be taking the lead tomorrow when the show premieres at 5:00 pm - and it will stream live on our 7News Facebook page.
The show will live stream on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 5:00 to 5:50 pm.
