There are two COVID deaths to report tonight one man and one woman. One of the patients was from Orange Walk and the other from the Belize District. One of them was unvaccinated and the other only partially vaxxed.
Hospitalizations have decreased since yesterday, going from 50 to 36. But twenty of those patients are unvaccinated and 12 have gotten both doses. ICU admissions went from 21 to 15, with 8 being unvaccinated and 6 being fully vaxxed.
There are 296 new cases to report and unlike yesterday, the Belize District is back to reporting the highest number with 56. Cayo has 48 new cases, Toledo has 47, Orange Walk has 46, and Corozal has 41.
Recoveries surpassed the new cases today with 318, putting the active cases at 2,737. The death toll is nearing the 500 mark, with 473 victims of the virus.
