Historic Meeting Between Doctors, Nurses and KHMH Union

We also asked the President of the Belize Medical and Dental Association about what is being described as a historic meeting, which they held last night with the KHMH Authority's Workers Union and the Nurses Association of Belize.

Reports out of those talks are that these organizations have begun charting a way forward in response to the quote, "ongoing chronic shortfalls in the health system."

Participants are also asserting that last night's meeting led to the birth of a Belize Coalition of Healthcare Professionals, BCHP. The BMDA President told us that because these talks are set to continue during the weekend, she could not share much detail. Here are her brief remarks:
