Last night we brought you the interview with the Macfarlene's, a couple who lost their 6-month-old daughter Anita to what they believe is medical malpractice.

According to the Corozal Community Hospital, Baby Anita was nebulized twice using a solution of saline, and in each case two drops of Tropium but it wasn't the nebulization but the child's congenital defects that led to her death.

But this morning Anita's parents were in Burrell Boom to receive a second postmortem, one that left the question of the infant's cause of death much more open. 7News was there and spoke to them in the moments after they received it.

Stephanie MacFarlene Kerr, Baby Anita's Mother

"On the first one the Doctor said that my baby had bronchial pneumonia and with the second one w got the doctor wrote, um, the same thing but he said that it is something pending, he says it is something possibility, he's not saying that yes that how that is. something that killed my daughter. He says it's something possibility, and as you can see here he put it as bronchial pneumonia pending pathology studies."

"Well, for me that is still a comfort because like what the doctor says, he says that this means that it is pending because they need to go and use a microscope to see exactly if that is what because of the medication that they gave my daughter."

"If that is, ok, with the medication, if that is why the reason my baby died. So for me well from my knowledge, I can see that I can get a little bit of comfort and that kind of let me feel a little bit happier than with the first results."

"I am still grieving it's like what everyone told my husband, your wife is strong, which in I am but sometimes I can't take it, sometimes I break down and it's like what everybody told my husband that he needs to be there for me."

David Roy MacFarlene, Baby Anita's Father
"Well it has changed my feeling a little, I am not saying a lot just a little because what I wanted to know today because I thought I would know it today, I still don't know because I wanted to know exactly, exactly and he couldn't tell me exactly. He just says they still left it pending."

"It's all good what he told me because the first one didn't tell me that but still, I'm not too happy to say well yeah, he has done a miracle for me I am still waiting and I hope that I can get a better answer when he says that they need to go through more."

Cherisse Halsall:
"Re-visiting it now sir all of the people concluded that the doctor who spoke to you in Corozal may have been a bit insensitive in his words with how he used them. What is your recollection of when he said to you, your child should have passed away a long time ago?"

David Roy MacFarlene, Baby Anita's Father
"The other part where he said you know she is sickly, she should have died a long time ago, from she was three months. And, no doctor hadn't told me that my baby had three months to live and also I looked. At him when he said that because I said, why would he say that my baby should have died a long time ago and three months, no doctor had said that. We went to the. Specialist right there and then the specialist that was there from the U.S. My baby was a candidate to take to the U.S. for the operation for the stone that she had in her gall bladder but she couldn't be taken because she was so tiny and she was so young. So, they told us that they would not take her this time because they need her to gain some more weight and get older and so they said maybe she can get to up to 2 or 3 then we will take her. So, then I don't know how he is saying my baby should have died no doctor didn't tell me that, none, didn't tell me your baby will only live this that. So he is coming more than God to me because God didn't' t ever tell anyone they would die he said you should have everlasting life. I want everyone in our country here to know what he said to me."

Sadly, when Anita's body was handed over to her parents today they had no means to transport her back to Corozal. Their only options were to ask for a favour or wait for the police to transport the body along with others when a driver becomes available.
