Police are currently investigating the deaths of two children in separate incidents. The first is 9 year old Evadney Martinez who was found unresponsive after 9:00 on Saturday night. The second is 14 year old Heinrich Braun, who was killed after a door fell on top of him sometime after 8:00 on Monday morning. ASP Smith gave us the details on both these incidents.

"Police received information of an unresponsive minor who apparently had passed out at a residence at the corner of Linda Vista Street and Police Street Belize City. The minor, whose name was learnt to be a Evadney Martinez, nine years of age, was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where attempts were made to resuscitate him."
"Those attempts proved futile and as a consequence of this, an investigation is being conducted into the death of a Evadney Martinez. What we have learnt so far is that Mr. Martinez, the young Mr. Martinez, had a history of asthma, however no other known medical condition."
"A post-martian examination is scheduled to be conducted to establish the cause of death. Police visited the Northern Regional Hospital where they observed the unresponsive body of Enrique Braun, 14 years of age, a Belizean of Shipyard Village Orange Wall District."
"Initial investigation revealed that Enrique Braun was at WJ's store, a business establishment in that village, when him and another male person were cleaning some doors and the doors are reported to have fallen on Enrique, fatally injuring him."
"Police have processed the scene and a number of statements have been recorded and the body of Enrique Braun now awaits a post-martian examination."
